## About the CEO

My name is Edjanni N, and I am the CEO & Founder of Aroma Essence, LLC. Originally from the beautiful country of Cameroon—also known as the 237—I was born and raised in the vibrant D(M)V area. As a full-time entrepreneur and senior college student majoring in Sociology, I have always been driven by a passion for personal growth and well-being. Throughout the years, my family and friends have described me as “hardworking,” “a go-getter,” and “a very determined woman.”

In August 2020, while navigating my sophomore year in college, I took a significant leap out of my comfort zone to become my own boss. I envisioned a brand that stood apart from others—one rooted in my genuine love for self-care. To me, self-care is not just a luxury; it’s a vital practice that promotes health and inner happiness. I believe it’s essential for maintaining a positive relationship with oneself, boosting self-esteem, and recognizing one’s worth.

My initial focus was on body care essentials and my personal skincare routine, but I wanted to expand. I asked myself, “What could be the perfect addition to my self-care offerings?” The answer was clear: candles. I have always been drawn to delightful fragrances, so I began researching how to create my own scents. Once I mastered candle-making, I fell in love with the process. The uplifting aromas not only enriched my environment but also sparked joy in my heart.

Now, I’m proud to transition from handmade products to manufactured creations featuring my own unique formulas. The motivation from my supportive family, friends, and customers has been incredible, propelling me forward.
